    • I received two scholarships for M.Sc. and Ph.D. funded by China Scholarship Council (CSC).
    • I received $6,000 for an International Research Fellowship funded from University of Maryland.
    • During MS and PhD, I oversaw and contributed to numerous projects valued at over $5 Million RMB (US$ 0.8 Million). Granting agencies have included Chinese Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Development and Planning, and the Chinese Institute for the Design, Planning, and Construction of Electric Power. The research projects included building and evaluating household biogas digesters in remote areas, establishing the Northwest Biogas Research Center, and building a three-stage biogas digester.
